Even petting dogs & cats in other countries can expose you to bites, scratches, and rabies infection. Cave exploring, adventure traveling, and safaris are just some of the activities that can you expose you to the risk of rabies.

Often times hospitals in these ares attempt to carry the post exposure vaccines, however supplies are limited for themselves, let alone travelers.

Another important aspect to consider in regards to rabies exposure and risk is making sure to have evacuation insurance in case you need to immediately leave to get post exposure treatment.
