Food and Water Precautions for International Travelers

* Eat food that is hot and well cooked.
* Always wash hands before and after using the toilet.
* Avoid foods from market stalls and street vendors.
* Avoid taper water and drinks with ice made from tap water, unless advised from a reliable source.
* Avoid buffets where food covered or fly controls are not used and where food has been sitting for hours.
* Avoid high risk foods like shellfish, raw or undercooked foods, unpasteurized dairy products, mayonnaise, cold causes/salsas, fruits you haven't peeled yourself, and salads.
* Use sealed bottled water or treated water for drinking and brushing your teeth.
