Yellow Fever Vaccine Shortage-What you need to know & how we can help you.

The manufacturer of the YF-Vax (Yellow Fever Vaccine), Sanofi Pasteur has announced a shortage of the YF-Vax from mid-2017 to mid-2018 in the U.S. and Canada. This is due to relocation of their manufacturing location and problems with production prior to the relocation. Sanofi Pasteur has worked with the CDC & the FDA to provide an alternative vaccine, Stamaril until production is resumed. Stamaril has been used in many countries for years. It is currently not FDA approved in the US, however is has been approved under "experimental" drug regulations at this time. There will be approximately 250 clinics nationwide. This is far fewer than the over 4,000 Yellow Fever Clinics now available.
